Geographical Range
The type location is given as Canton (= Guangzhou) by Mell (1929), with other known locations including sites in Guangdong (e.g. Ding Hu Shan) and Hainan. Also found in Hong Kong, Cambodia and northern Vietnam (specimens on BOLD Systems Taxonomy Browser).
In Hong Kong
Distribution: widespread; found in secondary forest, plantation woodlands, fung shui woods and shrubland up to 575m elevation. One record from grassland at 690m elevation.
Status: common.
Adult Phenology: probably continuously brooded, the main flight periods appears to be April-May and September-October, though recorded throughout the year.
